So Called “Free WebHosting”

I stumble on this site which includes the typical web hosting features that you get with a paid hosting, they advertise with “No ads, No banners and all the bells and whistles”, but you do have to register the domain with them and this is where the “catch” get you,..I tried transferring an existing domain to see what they would charge and why I was not shock at the price they are charging.

For registering a domain through them it would cost a whopping $27.95 a year, if you have been around a while you would know you could get it far less than what they charge; GoDaddy.com and Namecheap.com charges less than $10 per year.

If this site was to charge you about the same as those two, this means that the “free” hosting would actually cost $17.95 a year. Again if you’ve been around the block, you’ll know you could get a much better deal somewhere else for under $10 a year on web hosting depending on how much you value you site, some cheap web hosting are run by someone who had gotten a server which in turn rents much of their extra server space to pay for much of the cost of having a server, but when they decided to discontinue the service, so does your website.

Sites which offers “free” you might want to avoid when the better deal might be just around the corner.
